Veterinary Surgeon. £45,000 - £65,000 DOE - Tunbridge Wells.

You became a vet to help animals that is obvious, but isn’t it also about being happy in the environment you are working in?

Isn’t it a nicer experience when clients you meet are calm and friendly? A client base that knows you personally. Respectful and understanding as they have been coming to you for years. A place where you can work in a relaxed environment, zero targets, and a place where you have a voice and can make a difference.

Luckily, we know of a place like this and it's hiring.

A small independent practice in the pretty spa town of Tunbridge Wells is recruiting for a small animal vet surgeon. Ideally, they are looking for a vet with a minimum of one year's experience but it’s a kind caring person they are after more than experience. A community vet practice they have been located in the same area since 1987 building an enviable reputation for client care and excellence.

Working within a small team and alongside the owner, an experienced 20 year plus vet you will have a varied caseload with a good mix of consults and surgery, owing all your cases. You can have the opportunity here to make a real difference and have a say in how things are run.

I don’t need to tell you that being a vet is hard work, sometimes it can be long hours, demanding caseloads, and tiring, but this practice really looks to support you. No silly hours here, the rota is 40 hours spread over 4 or 5 days with two evening consults, sole charge ( last consult 6.30pm) no OOH’s, and Saturday morning consults only occasionally, paid in addition to salary.

The role will pay £45,000 - £65,000 per annum DOE. All fees are paid for with a comprehensive generous CPD allowance and pension, plus six weeks holiday inc bank holidays. Advanced learning, development, and certificates are encouraged here.

The practice has plenty of local shops and facilities nearby. Tunbridge Wells is only a couple of miles away with shops, restaurants, museums, and castles all surrounded by stunning countryside.

Choosing a new practice is a big decision. You’re a good vet who cares about the patients. Most importantly, you want somewhere you can help, learn, and grow as a vet.

So, what’s next?

Send your CV, don’t worry if it’s not up to date. We can’t get the whole story in a job ad so ask any questions. I’ll answer honestly, no hard sell.
