Salary: Up to £42,400 pending skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

Operate Safe Systems of Work that comply with the company SHE procedures at all times
Thorough examinations, maintenance, commissioning and defect diagnosis of Marine Lifts, lifting appliances and associated systems
Apply knowledge, skill and experience in order to resolve issues and faults associated with the operation and performance of Systems
Be able to work with technical autonomy and provide advice and guidance to other technical staff
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to less experienced engineers
Be able to engage with customers and authorities in writing, by telephone or face to face to discuss technical issues and problems
Support the wider Marine Systems Teams in their activities to maintain utilisation
Produce Technical detailed reportsYour skills and experiences:

Extensive lifting experience
Thorough examinations, maintenance, commissioning and defect diagnosis of Marine Lifts and lifting appliances
Technical knowledge and broad experience of Mechanical Systems, specifically lifting appliances and lifts, their maintenance, relevant legislation and inspection requirements
Demonstrable experience of maintenance and inspection of Marine Lift Systems and a keenness to keep abreast of technological initiatives and updates
Able to carry out scheduled maintenance, thorough examinations, Setting to Work, fault diagnosis and defect rectification
Qualified to NVQ level 3 & 4 to support inspection and maintenance activities.Benefits:

The Test and Commissioning Team:

Responsible for the inspection and maintenance of lifts and lifting appliances on board Royal Navy Queen Elizabeth Class (QEC) Aircraft Carriers, Type 45 (T45) Destroyers, Type 23 (T23) Frigates, HUNT class and any contracted tasking, ensuring work is to agreed standards and delivered in the most economical, logical and professional way.
