BigData / DevOps Engineer 🌟
💰 Daily Rate: £600 - £700 (inside IR35 via umbrella)
🗓️ Contract Length: 6 months
100% onsite in Cheltenham
🔎 Our client, a leading organisation, is seeking a highly skilled BigData / DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a BigData / DevOps Engineer, you will take on exciting challenges, leading the development of cutting-edge capabilities and enhancing the organisation's Elastic Stack and Kubernetes Clusters.
🔧 What you'll do:
Lead areas of Capability Development, focusing on React.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
Create a perfect fusion of backend processing and front-end tooling.
Gain expertise in structured and unstructured data analysis.
Provide system design, documentation, and training.
Take part in release activities, including occasional travel to customer sites.
Share your knowledge within the team and wider customer teams.
Ensure the adherence to best practises in design and code.
✨ What you'll bring:
A strong background in Full Stack Capability Development (4+ years) using JavaScript and React.js.
Experience working in DevOps teams, proficient in Docker and Kubernetes deployments.
Proven ability to lead large-scale projects either independently or collaboratively.
Adaptability and flexibility to handle a diverse range of coding and non-coding tasks.
Advocate for the most suitable technologies and practises to meet current and future demands.
Drive the growth and development of the team and wider customer skills.
Take ownership of customer relationships, putting their needs first while acting commercially.
🌟 You may also have:
Preferably worked with JavaScript ES6 onwards, including React.js, TypeScript, and functional components and hooks.
Experience in other JavaScript frameworks and programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Bash, and Node.js.
Familiarity with code development and management best practises, including Git and Visual Studio Code.
Exposure to DevOps and Agile Teams, working with Atlassian Toolsets like Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket.
Proficiency in operating Rancher, OpenShift, or OKD for managing and deploying Kubernetes clusters.
General knowledge of other Orchestration tools.
Familiarity with Elastic Stack components like Kibana, Elasticsearch, and Logstash.
Strong experience in Linux, including system administration, monitoring, and patching on Big Data Platforms.
Knowledge of data streaming and message broker technologies.
