Do you have a good understanding of child and adolescent development, a restorative and solution focussed approach, and relevant experience? If the answer is yes, the role of Case Management and Intervention lead at this Secure Children's Home could be right for you.

We care for 24 young people aged 10 to 18. They are referred to us following court proceedings, placed on remand, or sentenced to a period of detention, or because they need to be placed in secure accommodation for their own safety or the safety of others. You will lead on the case management and delivery of targeted intervention for a unit of 8 young people and have a vital role in the progress, development, and transition opportunities for vulnerable young people, who may have complex needs and display challenging behaviours.

Our goal is to inspire change in attitudes, behaviours, learning and emotions. We want to enable every young person to grow up and make a positive contribution as part of their family and wider community, safe from risk-taking behaviour, exploitation and offending.

About the role
As our next Case Management & Intervention Lead, you will have oversight and coordination of a eight young people. You will play an active role in the coordination and care planning of young people's placement , using solution focussed and restorative approaches to support the young people, families and professional network.

About you
We are looking for experienced, motivated, enthusiastic candidates with the personal qualities to build trusting relationships with a wide range of professionals and inspire vulnerable young people.

You must have:
High level of communication skills to a range of individuals, including understanding of learning styles and communication needs
Be self-aware in understanding your potential impact on others, with the ability to reflect on your own practice
Confidence in communicating, liaising and appropriately challenging other professionals and stakeholders
Willingness and flexibility in adapting to change to assist and provide support and guidance to other services
Be competent in making detailed assessments within the area of expertise

You will:
Contribute proactively to the positive development of children and young people through high quality assessment, planning and provision of Care and Interventions Programmes.
Assess individual needs and provide appropriate interventions to meet the level of the complex issues and risks associated with the behaviours identified.
Develop and sustain effective working and information sharing protocols with colleagues and external partner agencies to ensure an integrated service is provided, delivered and maintained.
Work alongside the Casework and Interventions Manager in coordinating, monitoring and attending all reviews for the young people, ensuring these are scheduled and held within timescales
