We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Learning and Development (L&D) Officer to join our People Team to help shape our learning and development offer. You will co-ordinate learning and development programs to support the professional and personal growth of our workforce. You will work closely with the People Officers and Managers to ensure that learning initiatives align with our organisation’s objectives and Corporate Plan.

Job requirements:

Co-ordinate and lead on all learning and development matters across the organisation.

*

Create, design and deliver training requirements including the development of e-learning modules as the need and opportunities arise for employees, Board members and key stakeholders.

*

Research new and engaging learning and development practices, with a strong focus on e-learning and micro-learning and encourage and deploy new ways of learning within the organisation.

*

Develop and manage the organisation’s skills and training matrix, making sure that all mandatory and service level training needs are met and delivered on time.

*

Produce and maintain accurate records of all learning and development activity, ensuring compliance with General Data Protection Regulations.

*

Produce key data on all learning and development activities and monitor and analyse the information to show key trends and areas for continuous improvement.

*

Co-ordinate activities in relation to the Apprenticeship Levy by being the point of contact for the Business in all queries relating to apprenticeships.

*

Support the Business to develop learning pathways for established Job Family groups.

*

Liaise with the People Officers to understand key influences from a People perspective which may influence the L&D offer.

*

Provide cover for the People Officers, in accordance with Business needs.

What we’re looking for:

*

Someone who is educated to an A Level or equivalent standard, or who is qualified by relevant experience.

*

A certificate in personnel practice, or equivalent.

*

Significant experience of working in a learning and development role.

*

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deal with people at all levels.

*

An understanding of what great customer service is.

*

Someone who can work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and demands.

*

Someone with a flair for idea generation and implementation.

*

A motivational approach to help promote and embed learning and development activities across the Business.

*

Energy and enthusiasm to deliver the best learning outcomes and impact.

*

Ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload with the ability to prioritise.

*

Someone who is inquisitive to spot opportunities to simplify and improve processes to drive better results.

*

Experience of supporting and advising on a broad spectrum of people related issues, including employee relation cases.

*

Experience of using IT based records through management and database systems, including accurate data inputting and reporting.
