We’re hiring for a CNC Miller to contribute to the success of a fast growing, market leading manufacturer based in Stockport.
This is a full-time permanent position, with further opportunities to grow and develop within the company.

What will you be doing as a CNC Miller?
* Complying with the Environmental, Health, and Safety Policy and identifying health and safety hazards before commencing work
* Performing "Start of Work" machine inspections before the start of each shift
* Reporting any machine faults or unusual occurrences through approved Maintenance Reporting Procedures
* Reading and comprehending engineering drawings to ensure machined parts conform to drawing and planning specifications
* Setting up and operating CNC milling machines, retrieving and inputting CNC programs from the network as per the appropriate paperwork
* Selecting suitable tools, equipment, and materials for machining preparation
* Measuring, examining, and visually inspecting components to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometres and verniers according to drawing specifications
* Inputting production tickets onto SAP upon completing each task
* Providing assistance and training to semi-skilled machinists or new team members as needed
* Ensuring compliance with the Company's Environmental and Health & Safety policies and any regulatory agencies to maintain the safety of all employees
What do you need?
* Grace C or higher in English & Maths (GCSE or equivalent)
* Experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
* Prior experience with running CNC machining centres
* SAP experience
* NVQ Level 2-3 in Engineering/Machining OR HNC/HND & machining apprenticeship (desirable)
