For one of the companies in Amsterdam we're looking for a Logistics Support. The company is a leading global virtual manufacturer supplying niche, differentiated specialty materials in life sciences and advanced technology end markets. With business operations in nine countries, the company distributes over 1,100 chemical compounds used principally by the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, agricultural, and specialty chemical industries. The company's global operations, including a significant staff on the ground in China and India, are distinctive in the industry and enable its worldwide sourcing and regulatory capabilities. Tasks Processing around 75 shipments per month (30 import from Asia and 45 deliveries to local customers) Obtain freight rates from various 3PL Update shipment information in the ERP system (Sage X3) Keep internal stakeholders (Sales) and external (Manufacturers & 3PL) partners informed on changes in ETA and ETD Maintains contact with relevant authorities Customs Monitor correct handling of 3PL in case of hardeous product and validate correct quarantaine management Report yearly on total costs per warehouse and other logistic service providers Work closely with our customer service department Reconcile system inventory reports with 3PL inventory report Monitor monthly the Aged Inventory Report Attend physical inventory counts throughout the year at various warehouses. Handle customer returns and supplier returns Reviews warehouse obsolete inventory and control the disposal process Releasing orders from warehouses to meet customer Resolving inventory-related issues with warehouses Requirements MBO/HBO diploma required Fluent in English, French is a pre Minimum 3 years traffic/logistics experience. Preferably import/export and in SSC Basic computer skills (Word, Excel) , experience with Sage X3 software is preferred Knowledge of incoterms and seafreight and related expenses Good verbal/written communication-skills Experience preferred with conducting business as per ISO and GDP No ''9 to 5'' mentallity Eager to learn 40 hours per week, 5 days a week Startdate is as soon as possible Occasional travel to Paris may be requested Offer Salary between €2300 and €4000 per month Travel allowance 2 or 3 months contract with possinility of extension Are you the Logistics Support were I'm looking for?
