Are you an experienced Electrician? Do you consider yourself to be personable and an asset to a busy team? Are you based in or around Corby?
We have a permanent shift Electrician role available within TATA Steel’s Corby site. The successful applicant will be working with a multi skilled team and be responsible for conducting PPM activity alongside reactive maintenance activity.
Role: Shift Electrician
Location: TATA Steel, Weldon Rd, Corby NN17 5UA
Salary: £31,982 plus 15% shift premium (Total £36,779 rising to £37,586 following successful completion of probation period)
Shift Patterns: 15 shift pattern of 8 hour shifts Monday to Friday. You’ll work a week of days 7am-3pm, a week of backs 3pm-11pm and a week of nights 11pm-7am.

Responsibilities:
*
Conducting planned preventative maintenance
*
Maintaining maximum efficiency of machinery
*
Troubleshooting relay control circuits
*
Recording preventative, corrective, breakdown and shutdown maintenance accordingly
*
Interpreting electrical drawings
*
Identifying and implementing improvement activity
*
Adhering to high levels of Health and Safety at all times
Essential Requirements:
*
Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 Electrical (NVQ, ONC, BTEC or equivalent)
*
Experience with low voltage electrical systems, drives and PLC’s
*
Ability to fault find and conduct root cause analysis on electrical systems
*
Experience working alongside multi skilled engineers
*
Ability to work independently and on own initiative
*
Good IT literacy skills
*
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Desirable Requirements:
*
Driving licence and use of a car
*
Knowledge of SAP PM
