What does the role involve?
EMBS Engineering is in partnership with a precision engineering company located in Nottingham that is a leading specialist in manufacturing precision-engineered components. Due to our client's increased workload, they are looking to expand their Machining Department and are therefore looking for a CNC machinist to join their growing team and support with new and exciting projects.
As a CNC machinist (Milling and/or Turning), you will be responsible for running proven programs to a schedule, adjusting tool settings, and correcting any errors. You will be setting up tools and producing a ‘First Off’ part to correct quality standards, completing 1st off inspections from engineering drawings, and updating the paperwork. You would also be required to apply machine maintenance as per schedules as well as a variety of other CNC Turning/Milling responsibilities.
What experience do you need?
* At least 2 years CNC Machining Experience as a CNC Miller and/or CNC Turner
* Previous background of machining small to medium-sized precision components for high-profile industries including; Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Medical, or any other advanced manufacturing sectors
* Ability to set and operate CNC Turning/Milling Machines using Mazatrol, Fanuc, Heidenhain or similar software packages
* Confident in various CNC Machines
* Work with various materials such as Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Titanium etc
* Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Able to self-inspect own parts using manual measuring equipment
