IT Support Engineer

Basildon based with driving license

£24,000 – £26,000

Excellent career opportunity within a UK based I.T solution provider supporting UK businesses both large and small for over 20 years across a number of business sectors including a strong presence in the automotive industry.

Portfolio of services includes outsourcing, technical support services, large WAN network design and securities, application development, cloud technologies and project management to name a few. Forward thinking company investing heavily in technologies giving our engineers the right tools for the job to deliver time efficient services to all clients.

Your previous technical experience will be essential to join a strong team of 22+ providing superior service to a client base of over 3000 end users. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills together with a good all-round knowledge of desktop support, networking, AD administration and management, Office 365, Cloud services & virtualisation, Microsoft server support and hardware diagnostics.

You will also be expected to work approximately 1 to 2 days on the road, 2 to 3 days in the Basildon

It will be important that you are self-motivated and able to work on a solo basis.

Key responsibilities for this role will be:

* To provide first/second line telephone support for service request fulfilment.

* Field engineering support.

* Incident and problem management.

* Troubleshooting / repairing desktop PC's, laptops and installations.

* Troubleshooting server-side issues and setup of new server solutions.

* Troubleshooting network symptoms.

The key skills required include:

* Good technical knowledge of Windows operating systems.

* Windows Server 2012 to 2019 administration experience.

* AD administration and management.

* Microsoft product support (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).

* Microsoft Office 365 support and administration.

* Networking experience (TCP/IP topologies, switches, routers).

* Exposure to CDK Kerridge/Drive (Although not essential).

* Support of mobile devices with MDM.

* Strong communication skills.

* Good customer service skills.

* Good analytical/problem-solving skills, especially in continual service improvement.

* Ability to work well under pressure with an eye for detail.

* Passion for technology.

* Willingness and enthusiasm to learn is essential with a can-do approach.

* Self-motivated and organised.

* Must be a team player.

* Whilst the company does offer training, it is desirable that you already have at least two or more related certified qualifications.

Full UK driving licence required (preferably clean).

Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00 with optional Saturday AM rota. Holiday entitlement of 22 days plus bank holidays. Monthly performance bonus and reward scheme. Flexi-time available. Social and team events throughout the year.

A company vehicle may also be considered after an initial 3-month probation. Therefore, essential own transport is available during probation period.
