Principal People are currently recruiting for an Environmental and Sustainability Manager in partnership with a leading waste and recycling organisation that are looking for an Environmental and Sustainability Manager working a hybrid role split between their Head Office in Kidderminster, homeworking and very occasional travel to other UK sites.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Environmental and Sustainability professional to fly the flag for Environment and Sustainability within the business and to shape, improve and implement the Environmental function and make the role your own!

They are not just managing waste – they are turning it into valuable resources. From recycling plastics to composting organic waste, they are committed to minimising environmental impact and maximizing resource efficiency. They are looking for a strong communicator and the position is to pay the successful candidate a salary of £50-60k + 25 days Annual Leave + Benefits.
Key Responsibilities include:
Managing waste permits
Ensuring the business is compliant from an environmental standing.
Overall Environmental Compliance for the business
To lead with the development and delivery of an ESG strategy / Carbon Management
Writing environmental/sustainability policies
Managing the waste aspect on site from an environmental perspective The Successful Environmental and Sustainability Manager will hold:
A relevant Environmental qualification
IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management (Desirable)
WAMITAB qualification is highly desirable
Internal / External ISO 14001 Auditor experience
Experience within waste/recycling is desirable but open to industry sector
Experience of environmental / waste permitting (Essential)
Experience of liaising with environmental regulators
Experience / knowledge of carbon management (Desirable)
