HR & Payroll Officer (Term Time Only plus 10 days) 30 or 37 hours
Our client is a leading Bath based school.
The role
They are looking for an HR and Payroll Officer to work 30-37 hours per week on a term time only basis, Monday to Friday with an 8am start each day.
Reporting into the HR Manager, responsibilities will include:
* Providing an approachable, professional HR service, offering advice and guidance to employees and managers
* Providing an efficient and responsive HR Operations service
* Providing HR Management Information on a regular and ad hoc basis as required
* Support a variety of HR projects.
* Minute taking at informal and formal meetings as requested.
* Maintaining accurate HR records (using HR database and manual files)
* Acting as an HR systems superuser
* Supporting in the delivery of training on HR systems and processes
* Organising safeguarding training
* Ongoing review and development of HR policies and procedures
* Responsibility for the leavers process
* Monitoring probation periods
* End to end recruitment including advertising roles, dealing with candidates, organising interviews, drafting offers of employment, pre-employment checks and organising induction.
* Supporting payroll, ensuring all required information is passed to external payroll provider in a timely manner and is accurate including starters, leavers, maternity, sickness, pension deductions, pay awards etc.
* Supporting with pensions administration
The person
* Previous HR administration experience would be advantageous but not essential.
* Experience of working in a school environment would be beneficial.
* Strong IT skills
* Good communication and organisation skills
* Flexible attitude to work
* Able to use initiative.
The Salary
£23,018 - £24,634 (actual based on 37 hours per week) – term time only plus 10 days
Location
Combe Hay, Bath – 100% office based with occasional travel to other sites
