Bouygues UK has an exciting opportunity available for a Social Value Advisor to be based from our Bristol office to support us in delivering our Social Value Strategy and commitments in the South West and Wales region.

The role will require travel across the South West and Wales region so applicants must be willing to travel. We are happy to consider candidates on both a full time and part time/job share basis.

Job Purpose & Scope:

To develop and deliver a bespoke Social Value and Stakeholder plan for each project and manage and coordinate the delivery of those for multiple sites across the South West.

The individual will be responsible for creating and developing tender responses to Social Value questions, both qualitative and quantitative and appropriately costed.

The Social Value Advisor will coordinate the delivery of the social value plan across projects in the region. The individual will be responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of all Social Value KPIs, working closely with the site teams and Supply Chain Partners to monitor, measure and report progress.

The individual will work closely with the client team to ensure the Social Value and Stakeholder plan meet the needs of the client, providing regular reports to update on activity.

The Social Value Advisor will be responsible for the accurate collection, inputting and recording of data to measure performance against KPIs.

The individual will be expected to create relevant content for social media, case studies and newsletters.

Role Responsibilities: 

Responsible for developing a Social Value project strategy, community profile and stakeholder engagement plan and associated budget for every project.

Responsible for developing and responding to social value tender questions.

Own, deliver, monitor, measure, record and report the social value bid deliverables/outcomes.

Adhere to internal and external reporting requirements.

Work across both preconstruction and site based operational teams.

Support supply chain partners.

Work with external agencies, such as DWP, Careers, local government, third sector, VCSEs, schools, colleges, training providers.

Deliver Social Value CPD sessions.

Produce marketing content including case studies and newsletters.

Represent Bouygues UK at industry forums.

About You:

A very good understanding of social value is a necessity.

Ideally a background in education/apprenticeship/training provision with an understanding of T levels and the equivalent.

Not necessary to have a construction background but this could be advantageous.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills - ability to communicate well with people and be comfortable talking to groups (for example students/supply chain partners/clients) and ability to write tender responses.  

Excellent at developing relationships with various stakeholders.

The ideal person will need to be organised and self-motivated with a good understanding and feel for the South West region.
