Production Manager

Chase Taylor Recruitment are recruiting for a Production Manager who will lead a team of Fabricators to manufacture aluminium glazing products for a wide range of contracts. The company is a specialist aluminium manufacturer and your role will be to manage their production function, the key part to their business reporting directly to the Managing Director.

You role will be to pick orders up from the Estimating and Sales Team, ensuring that the order is confirmed before being responsible for the production paperwork and scheduling. It will be a mix of both office and factory floor as you take projects through manufacture including managing stock and stores, machinery and equipment, each manufacturing process, quality, Health & Safety and dispatch. All products are bespoke and will include the use of CNC Machinery but also a lot of hand-made manufacturing processes using hand-tools.

Applicants should have previous experience of managing within a manufacturing facility and a knowledge of aluminium glazing products and fabrication processes. You will need to have good organisational and planning skills and the ability to think on your feet to resolve issues and juggle tasks. As well as being good operationally, the business would welcome somebody who can think strategically as well, looking at ways to continuously improve as the business growns including looking at new machinery and ways of working.
