Assistant Warehouse Manager

Based in Cradley Heath

Monday to Friday 8.00am till 5.00pm

£28,080 PA

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our team. The Assistant Warehouse Manager will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of the warehouse facility. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, as well as maintaining a safe and organised working environment.

Key responsibilities

Assist in managing the warehouse staff, including hiring training, and scheduling.
Supervise the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Maintain inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks.
Implement and enforce health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities.
Collaborate with other departments to co-ordinate shipments and resolve any issues.
Monitor and report on warehouse performance metrics such as productivity and accuracy.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to optimise warehouse operations.
Assist in managing budgets and controlling costs related to warehouse operations.

Requirements

Proven experience in warehouse operations.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks in fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in warehouse management systems and MS office applications.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Counterbalance FLT Licence (preferred not essential)
