Plant Operator

Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading company within environmental services to recruit a Plant Operator for its Dudley EFW site.

The strategically important Plant Operator role comes with a salary of £35,000 - £40,000 with Pension

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Shift Team Lead you will:

Overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the Energy from Waste plant, monitoring the turbine, boiler, and associated plant.
Assisting with compliance with all aspects of the site Environmental Permits
Carrying out routine plant inspections and adjusting as required and logging on a data system.
Monitoring of stocks and take receipt of consumables/collection of residues.
Assisting other Company staff and contractors as and when required
To be aware of and work within the Company Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Systems

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:
Operational experience within a shift process environment, preferably power generation.
Knowledge of environmental permits and safe working environments
Exposure to working in demanding and face paced environment.
