Prodrive Recruitment are seeking reliable staf to work in their clients Food Plant, base in Malvern. This is a Temp to Perm vacancy and for the right candidate will lead to a permanent role witin the company.
Responsible for packing and warehouse duties in the Food Plant, to be carried out following documented procedures and quality standards whilst maintaining compliance with the Company policies on safety, health and environment.
Responsibilities & Authority:
• Action the food production procedures and systems, to ensure food safety is maintained.
• All paperwork to be completed correctly and in full for packing and warehouse duties.
• To notify the Shift Chargehand and record in process non-conformances.
• To alert the quality team if a food safety issue or plant safety issue should arise.
Tasks:
• Operation of automated packing equipment to fill paper bags.
• Carryout process checks - metal detector, checkweigher verification and seal integrity.
• Remove pallets from robot, wrap and store using a pallet shuttle.
• Warehousing operations for storage and picking.
• To assist with loading vehicles and containers for despatch of goods.
• To ensure that the housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
• To ensure company safety, health & environmental procedures are complied with and that safe systems of work are implemented.
• To perform any other duties that may be required.
Minimum Qualification & Training
The ability to demonstrate:
• Basic levels of literacy and numeracy
• Practical ability – operation of plant and machinery
• Forklift truck certified – preferred though not essential
• Level 2 Food Safety certified - training provided
• HACCP awareness - inhouse training
• FSSC 22000, Organic, Kosher & Halal awareness - inhouse training
• Health & safety awareness - inhouse training
• Environmental awareness - inhouse training
