Want to help pilot a brand-new company poised to make a huge splash in ecommerce? A brand-new enterprise aiming to bring ecommerce to hundreds of local audiences and hundreds of millions of people, has an opening for a retail director. The position would be leading the team responsible for recruiting distributors and brands to sell on our marketplace. The ideal candidate would have experience in B2B sales, digital marketing, analytics and team management. The perfect candidate would have experience in ecommerce, brand management or have worked in a management role at a major distributor. The retail director will have the opportunity to establish systems, culture and build a team.
We plan to build an audience of millions of people every month through partnerships. The ecommerce solution aims to keep retail dollars in local communities rather than sending that capital to monolithic corporations. The potential is enormous not just to be successful, but to change the landscape in online retail.
We are located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, 90 minutes south of St. Louis. Cape is a vibrant, family friendly riverfront town with a great restaurant scene, breweries, wineries, great parks and trails and a housing market that is very affordable.
Compensation will be commensurate on experience, but were looking for an experienced professional who has previously held management positions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Design and implement comprehensive recruiting and marketing strategies, plus regular review of best practices.
* Recruit brands, manufacturers and distributors to sell their products on our platform.
* Using metrics and KPI, oversee product ad delivery for optimum consumer relevancy and sales generation.
* Actively involved in SEO efforts (keyword, image optimization etc.)
* Analyze product placements, ecommerce design and user experience on the platform.
* Deliver input on content marketing and audience targeting.
* Hire and manage associates to carry out recruitment strategy, as needed.
* Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts
* Conceptual guidance regarding social media
* Building relationships with vendor clients and overseeing client retention.
* Awareness and compliance with ecommerce regulations
* Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
Requirements
Full-Time, On-Site Availability in Cape Girardeau, MO
* Previous experience as a sales or marketing executive, manager or director
* Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
* Mentoring, coaching and people management skills
* Knowledge of industrys legal rules and guidelines
* Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
* Ability to make decisions and solve problems
* Analytical and creative thinking
* Up to speed with current and online marketing techniques and best practices
* Thorough knowledge of web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, WebTrends etc.) and Google AdWords
* Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
* Excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices
* Experience with B2C social media
* Working knowledge of ad serving tools (e.g., DART, Atlas)
* BS/BA in business administration, marketing and communications or relevant field
* Professional Chartered Marketer (CIM) is a plus
