Project Coordinator

Vision Point Systems is looking to fill a Project Coordinator position in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center – Carderock Division and US Navy acquisition program offices, program managers, and program executive offices. The portfolio of programs covers many aspects of materials R&D and engineering challenges ranging from applied research and development on next generation structural and mechanical materials; industrial base capitalization and transition to industry 4.0; reconstitution of research and development infrastructure; engineering and trades workforce development; and transition of new technologies and manufacturing processes to the fleet. This position will be working on a capital improvement project for a next-generation R&D facility in Memphis, TN.
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Ensure that all aspects of the project are organized including tracking milestones, deliverables, and project actions and risks.
· Maintain a consolidated project schedule, regularly reporting out key milestones and project status.
· Monitor project progress and create project status reports for project managers and stakeholders.
· Plan and attend collaborative meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
· Maintain and manage project documentation as directed by the project managers.
· Write, maintain, and distribute meeting minutes for internal and external meetings.
· Other project coordination duties as assigned.
Requirements
· Must currently have DoD Secret level security clearance. Requires US citizenship.
· 1+ years of project coordination or management experience.
· Must have strong organizational and planning skills.
· Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work on multiple items simultaneously.
· Bachelors degree in business administration, engineering, or applicable technical degree is required.
Desired Skills:
· 1+ years experience with construction projects is not required but it is a plus.
· Some experience and/or understanding of the US Navy and/or government contracts is not required but it is a plus.
· MS Project experience is not required but it is a plus.
