Job Description:
Join our team at the Office of Information Services (OIS), the backbone technology provider for both the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and Oregon Client (ODHS). OIS empowers over 18,000 agency staff across local offices statewide with essential technology systems and services. These tools are vital for determining program eligibility, offering critical assistance like medical care, housing, and job support, delivering mental health services, and safeguarding vulnerable populations. The Center for Public Health Practice (CPHP), nestled within OHA's Public Health Division, collaborates closely with local partners to ensure a robust public health infrastructure, emphasizing disease prevention, vital event monitoring, and system efficacy.
As part of our mission to combat vaccine-preventable diseases, the Oregon Immunization Program (OIP) champions the reduction of such diseases statewide. We are currently seeking a skilled Project/Program Manager IV to spearhead our ALERT Immunization Information System (IIS) Replacement Project. This pivotal role involves overseeing the transition to a new, enhanced platform for ALERT IIS, integrating functionalities from existing systems and incorporating crucial lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Responsibilities:
Develop and refine project plans and schedules to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Manage project deliverables and liaise with the OIS technical support team.
Update project planners based on input from the OIP project team.
Oversee multiple complex schedules, maintaining timelines and milestones.
Monitor and control programs to ensure timely completion.
Schedule and conduct stage gate review meetings with the OIP team.
Provide guidance and escalate key issues affecting project schedules.
Allocate resources appropriately and produce resource capacity reports.
Generate ad hoc reports for senior management decision-making.
Required Skills and Experience:
Proficiency in Office 365 and Tableau.
Previous experience in state government settings.
Strong project management skills and exceptional communication abilities.
Remote work proficiency.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with WSDL Language and HL7 immunization profiles.
Proficiency in Visio and process mapping.
Rate Card Description:
Candidates should possess successful project management experience, ideally with projects of small scope, limited risk, and duration. They may work under State supervision, managing projects with clear, achievable outcomes. Advanced candidates demonstrate mastery in project management, functioning effectively with minimal supervision on complex, high-priority projects.
Interview Process:
Interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams or in person, reflecting Pacific Standard Time. Background checks may require up to two weeks. The selected candidate will telecommute, with potential onsite meetings in Portland, Oregon.
