Food Service Supervisor

Xawaash located at 130 Queens Plate Dr. Etobicoke, ON M9W 0B4 is a family-owned Somali Mediterranean restaurant with a focus on serving the best food and providing amazing customer service. We are trying to build a team of dedicated hard working individuals who have the skills to bring our customers the best and fastest service possible.

We have two (2) full-time vacancies for the position of Food Service Supervisor in Etobicoke and Mississauga, Ontario. We are looking for individuals who are motivated and willing to perform a range of tasks.

Job Duties:

·                   Follow all food safety regulations regarding food preparation, storage, handling, and serving.

·                   Provide employees with training on food preparation and safety procedures.

·                   Identify and resolve issues by coordinating with other departments and owners.

·                   Establish employee schedules, including the hiring of new employees when necessary.

·                   Regularly inspect the premises for cleanliness and maintenance issues.

·                   Ensure that all employees are working efficiently and monitoring their attendance.

·                   Assess the quality, service, and profitability as per the standards set by the management.

·                   Enforce food safety and sanitation policies by performing regular inspections of the facility and employees.

·                   Provide advice and oversee standardization of recipes, menu preparation, portion, cost, and waste control.

·                   Orders food and non-food supply, check deliveries and maintain inventory records.

·                   Supervise work area, equipment cleaning, and maintenance and ensures adherence to all safety procedures pertaining to work methods, equipment operation, and fire safety.

Job Types: Full-time Permanent

Salary: $17 - $19.00 per hour

Minimum Requirements:

Must have at least one years’ experience working in a well-established restaurant. Previous experience in a similar position will be an asset.
