We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Team Manager to join our team at our Workington Mill. Joining us on a full-time, permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary and become part of our welcoming team.

Holmen Board & Paper is a Swedish company and a member of the Holmen Group. The Workington Mill produces premium paperboard under the brand Incada. Our paperboard is an integral part of the shopping experience for our client's customers. Since 2013 we have powered the mill almost entirely by fossil fuel free energy. Our integrated pulp and paperboard mill is located to the west of the beautiful Lake District in the north of England.

About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Team Manager reporting to the Head of Operations.  The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic investment in support of the Strategic Development plan for the mill. 

Our Project Team Manager will be responsible for:

Leading and developing the Project and Documentation team
Strategic investment plans and resources
Full scope of projects from pre-study until implementation and handover to production and engineering
Overall budget and cost follow-up for strategic investment projects
Leading and co-ordinating investment steering group and prioritisation meetings

What we’re looking for in our Project Team Manager:

A minimum qualification of HNC in an appropriate discipline, with a preference for degree
Extensive knowledge & experience of Project Management
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Paper & Board industry or other process / advanced manufacturing industry
A good understanding of the business environment
Appropriate training in Health & Safety (eg. IOSH)
Good leadership and management skills
Commercial awareness and the ability to negotiate contracts
