Overview: 
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager – Engineering, Procurement, and Construction to join our dynamic team in the solar industry. As Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution and delivery of complex projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budgetary constraints. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and operations, to drive project success and achieve business objectives. This role requires strong construction and equipment install acumen, excellent project management skills, and a previous experience scaling in the solar or semiconductor industry. 
 
Responsibilities: 
 
Project Planning and Execution-
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements related to tool installs and infrastructure builds.
Coordinate and prioritize project activities, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer requirements. 
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project execution. 
Track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets. 
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and ensure project requirements are met. 
Stakeholder Management-
Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, both internal and external, ensuring effective communication and alignment throughout a project. 
Conduct regular project status meetings, provide updates on progress, and address any concerns or issues raised by stakeholders. 
Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure investor satisfaction by delivering projects within agreed-upon specifications and timelines. 
Technical Expertise-
Experience installing new tools and working with OEMs and 3rd party contractors.
Possess an understanding of the solar or semiconductor industry practices, technologies, and processes. 
Work closely with engineering teams to provide technical guidance and support in the execution of semiconductor projects. 
Risk Management: 
Identify, assess, and manage project risks, including construction/installation challenges, resource constraints, and schedule dependencies. 
Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize project disruptions and ensure successful outcomes. 
Proactively communicate potential risks and mitigation plans to stakeholders and leadership. 
Team Leadership: 
Hire and provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. 
Set clear project objectives, assign tasks, and monitor team performance to ensure successful project delivery. 
Mentor and develop team members, supporting their professional growth and skill enhancement. 
Requirements
Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related field, or demonstrated experience in construction and scaling high technologies.
Proven experience (10 years) as a Project Manager in the solar or semiconductor industry. 
Strong knowledge of scaling manufacturing, including vacuum deposition, assembly, and testing. 
Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. 
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels. 
Solid understanding of risk management principles and the ability to drive proactive risk mitigation strategies. 
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. 
PMP certification or equivalent is preferred. 
Knowledge of semiconductor industry standards and regulations is a plus. 
Experience with Agile methodologies is desirable.
