Job Title: Plater Welder
Location: Burton on Trent

Ethero, a leading recruitment agency, is currently assisting our client based in Burton on Trent in the search for a skilled and experienced Plater Welder. In this role, you will be an integral part of construction projects, contributing to various ongoing contracts with a specific focus on structural fabrications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Interpret and comprehend engineering drawings to meet project specifications.
2. Execute plating and welding tasks independently, ensuring adherence to project requirements.
3. Operate cutting and shaping machines, including circular band saw, normal bandsaw, and punching.
4. Fabricate structural components such as beams, end planes, stairs, and small structures for houses, roller doors, etc.
5. Work on a high-volume contract for stillages, maintaining quality and efficiency in production.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in plating and welding.
2. Solid understanding of construction projects, particularly in the realm of structural fabrications.
3. Ideally, possess EN1090 certification.
4. Ability to work independently and efficiently.
5. Familiarity with machines such as circular band saw, normal bandsaw, and punching.
6. Experience in producing structural fabrications for houses, roller doors, etc.
