Premium Retail Security Guard

The work is Monday to Sunday 9 hour day shifts.

Person specification: Security Officers are responsible for Loss Prevention while ensuring the safety and security of staff and visitors within our clients’ stores. This role requires you to be highly presentable with excellent customer service skills as well as the ability to respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations. Given the customer profile of our clients stores professionalism is paramount.

Responsibilities: As an elite Security Officer, you will play a crucial role as the first and last impression for visitors and customers. Your primary responsibilities will include patrolling the premises, monitoring stock and actively communicating with client staff on risks and concerns to products. You will be responsible for protecting property and individuals from theft, assault, and the monitoring of suspicious shopper behaviour. Where necessary you will be required to restrict access to the store from individuals identified as suspects for theft from previous interactions with the store.

Requirements:

Essential:

* Possession of a valid SIA Door Supervisor licence

* Experience as a Retail Security Guard

* Experience of crowd control, managing difficult customers

* Must have completed ACT training or willing to complete this before job starts

* Right to work in the UK

* Flexibility, commitment to work day shifts including weekends

* Must be punctual for shifts

* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with visitors, customers, staff, and partner agencies

Preferred but not essential:

* First Aid certificate and Fire Marshall training

* Excellent concentration skills, with the ability to remain focused and attentive during shifts

* Keen attention to detail to identify and address potential security threats

* Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, dealing with emergency situations efficiently and effectively
