Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Sunderland, Tyne and Wear.
Salary / Benefits £22k - £27k + Training + Benefits

We are working with an industry leading Asbestos Consultancy, due to internal growth, they are now seeking to take on an Asbestos Lab Analyst. You will be joining their UKAS accredited laboratory in the North East. The successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running carrying out sample analysis using PLM and stereo microscopy and ensuring to complete job sheets in a timely manner. Consideration will be given to candidates from: Newcastle upon Tyne, Sunderland, South Shields, Tynemouth, Morpeth, Ashington, Hexham, Gateshead, Durham, Barnard Castle, Stockton on Tees, Hartlepool, Redcar, Middlesbrough, Darlington, Peterlee.

Experience & Qualifications:
" Holding the BOHS P401 qualification is mandatory.
" Will have experience working for a UKAS accredited company working within the laboratory.
" Must have a keen eye for detail.
" Will be able to work to deadlines.
" Will have excellent communication skills.
The Role:
" Logging samples onto internal systems upon arrival to the laboratory.
" Ensuring that all samples are bagged, labelled, and stored correctly.
" Carrying out sample analysis using PLM and stereo microscopy.
" Filling out job sheets upon completion of analysis.
" Working in line with HSG guidelines.
" Maintaining the companies UKAS accreditation.
" Ensuring the laboratory is clean and all equipment is calibrated.
" Liaising with clients, providing support and advice based on analysis findings.
