Nursery Nurse

An opportunity has arisen for a level 3 Nursery nurses to join a forest school nursery in Edinburgh, Scotland. If you have a real passion for being outdoors and can deliver fun memorable and educational outdoor experiences for children under 5 years, we want to hear from you.  

Person Specification:

NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent

Knowledge of EYFS Curriculum

Forest School Experience (Desirable)

Pediatric First Aid (Desirable)

Some of the Nursery Nurse responsibilities will include:

Providing a safe, supportive and caring environment for young children in the nursery
Working as a Key worker, carrying out regular observations on children and updating their development files
Adhering to nursery policy and procedures
Working with EYFS curriculum planning age appropriate activities  
Promoting diversity and equal opportunity
Develop and maintaining professional working relationships with colleagues, parents and other childcare professionals
Attending monthly staff meetings and further training as required
