Client Commercial Support Job Description
Overview of Role: My client is seeking a high-quality Commercial Support professional to work alongside the Category Management Teams (CMTs) with a view to improving administration quality, preparation for negotiations, deal team organization, Partner support, and Supplier communication.

Candidates should possess strong administrative, analytical, project, and computer skills. Experience with procurement processes is desirable. Flexibility is required within the role, with an estimated 6-8 planned nights away from home per year.

Key Objectives:

Deliver deal administration to a high standard, aiming for ‘right first time.’
Support Buyers in their negotiations.
Resolve deal queries and Supplier problems.
Train both Partners and Suppliers on the system to improve usage and account management by both parties.Key Skills and Attributes:

Confident and highly organized multi-tasker and self-starter who can work unsupervised.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft packages.
Understanding of procurement processes and associated buying considerations.
Experienced administrator.
Diligent and resilient, able to see tasks through to completion.
Personable and a strong team player.

Indirect Reports:

Category Management Team (CMT) Chairs
BuyersResponsibilities:

Manage Supplier administration (e.g., complete and chase missing contracts/pricelists, turnover queries, price increases, and promotions).
Support CMT Chairs to ensure purchasing processes and projects are delivered efficiently.
Support Buyers in their negotiations, usually in collaboration with other Partners.
Issue and analyze pre-negotiation deal questionnaires.
Produce product line level reports and analysis (e.g., net net price comparisons).
Manage the Supplier tender process.
Prepare for negotiation meetings.
Organize and take minutes at meetings.
Manage accurate contract/deal creation and quality checking.
Monitor stats/KPIs/savings measurement to track department performance.
Brief Suppliers on administration and create sales plans.
Work closely with the Product Information Management Team (PIM) to ensure Suppliers are providing correct data.
Handle ad hoc projects.Excluded Responsibilities:
