Senior Social Worker – Assessment – West Sussex
Role: Qualified Social Worker
Location: West Sussex
Team: Assessment
Pay: Up to £42 per hour
Contract: Full Time Locum
Hours: Full-time, with 2-3 days per week in the office
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conducting assessments of children and families to determine their needs and risks
Undertaking direct work with children and families, including interviews and observations
Liaising with other professionals and agencies to gather information and coordinate services
Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other stakeholders
Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children and families, and making adjustments to plans as necessary
Providing support and guidance to families to help them achieve positive outcomes
Completing accurate and timely case recordings and reports
Participating in team meetings, supervision sessions, and training programs
Adhering to relevant policies, procedures, and legislation, including safeguarding protocols
Requirements:
Social Work qualification (DipSW, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent)
HCPC registration
Experience working as a social worker within children's services
Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong assessment and decision-making skills
