Service Technician - Diesel Fuel Injection Pumps

C & B Equipment, a progressive family-owned company that has grown over 30 years to include John Deere Ag, material handling and power sports locations, has an opening for a Service Technician at Signature Fuel in Billings, MT. Signature Fuel repairs and rebuilds diesel fuel injection pumps and is a full service inspection shop handling all of our customer's diesel injection needs. A service technician independently performs diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on any injection pump or injector issues.
Essential Duties:
Performs diagnostics and repairs on diesel injection systems
Participates in Service Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
Prepares all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
Accounts for all time on a time card and for all material used in performing assigned duties
Maintains current product knowledge
Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
Promote and sell the service department to customers including service work, inspections, and parts to increase customer satisfaction
Delivers parts, run errands, etc. as needed
Mentors Service Technician Apprentices and junior Service Technicians
Follows all safety procedures and guidelines, and works in a safe manner
Requirements
Willing to train
Demonstrated work experience of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in diesel injection repair-preferred
Ability to use computer and basic computer applications
Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays as needed
Valid driver's license and safe driving record
Diesel Technology degree preferred
