Description/Job Summary
The Practice Intelligence Lawyer will work closely with the Senior KM Lawyer for the Banking & Credit practice to support the group's matter experience management program and other knowledge management needs.
The Practice Intelligence Lawyer's primary responsibility will be the direct review and input of deal terms into the Firm's experience management system (i.e. Litera Foundation Firm Intelligence Platform). The Practice Intelligence Lawyer will also support the Senior KM Lawyer in designing highly visual reports and dashboards, producing analysis on key data points for internal and external use, and improving the efficiency of data collection efforts by optimizing the use of technology.
The Practice Intelligence Lawyer will also support the practice group's associate training program. The role will work with practice group attorneys and the Senior KM Lawyer to identify the training needs of associates and assist with developing and delivering supplemental training initiatives. In addition, the role will mentor associates by serving as a source of legal, market and practical expertise.
Responsibilities/Duties
Experience Management
Input matter profiles into Foundation on a timely basis, and ensure full matter profiles reflect legal and business terms accurately
Work with practicing attorneys to determine which matters should be profiled and identify matter attributes and data points that should be tracked
Review deal documents and input legal and business terms of B&C and other related matters in Foundation
Produce insightful analysis and post-deal assessments, benchmarking and market trend reports leveraging Foundation data for internal audiences and client presentations
Support the Senior KM Lawyer in collaborating with the Data Analytics team to design and maintain highly visual reports and dashboards that surface quantitative insights in forms that are fit-for-purpose, modern and accessible
Support the Senior KM Lawyer in collaborating with the Data Analytics team to evaluate and implement technology and artificial intelligence applications that support the practice group's data collection efforts Together senior Senior KM Lawyer, identify opportunities to improve or add to Foundation, related systems and data integration sources
Training & Mentorship
Work with practice group attorneys, the Senior KM Lawyer and the Professional Development team to identify training needs of the group, and assist with developing and delivering additional training modules
Together with the Senior KM Lawyer, mentor junior associates one-on-one and in small groups to provide them with best practices and guidance as they develop their legal skills and knowledge
Knowledge Management
Work with the Senior KML to create, develop, organize, update and maintain forms, precedents, checklists, data points, closing sets and other work product and substantive content for the group, ensuring such content is continuously up-to-date, and leveraged by attorneys
Provide other knowledge support to the practice group as may be assigned by the practice group heads, Chief Knowledge & Innovation Officer, Senior KM Lawyer or KM Director
Required Skills

Required Experience
Minimum of five years of experience in banking and credit practice
Required Education
J.D. or equivalent

Salary Information
NY only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $250k to $280k at the time of posting.
The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.
