We are now recruiting for the role of Global Brand Director, WatersTechnology. Working with the Managing Director, FinTech, you will plan and execute a strategy for new and existing products and services under the WatersTechnology brand, including paid subscriptions, branded events, expert communities, marketing campaigns, etc.
The Role
Based in London, New York or Nashville, the Global Brand Director will be responsible for growing revenue as well as identifying new product opportunities across our capabilities including News and Commentary, Events and Marketing Services. You are an action-oriented, results-driven and credible commercial professional with a record of B2B sales ideally in financial services. You will also bring inspiration, credibility and commercial awareness to the business and can think longer-term, while driving execution tactically and managing the balance between the two. Moreover, you will have a good understanding of how data and technology are transforming the financial services sector.
As Infopro Digital is an acquisitive company, further scope might be added to the role.
Key Accountabilities
Set global brand strategy: Define the brand strategy globally over the short, medium and long term in line with the company’s strategic and business goals; working closely with the Managing Director as well as Editorial, Events and Regional stakeholders dedicated to your brand to determine the products and solutions that will best serve the Brand’s evolving customer base;
Meet financial performance targets on a quarterly and annual basis: Develop and deliver financial and operational plans that reflect the long-term growth objectives and priorities; assume full P&L responsibility for the Brand including budgeting, setting targets and forecasting of direct and indirect expenses; deliver revenue and EBITDA growth profile by growing subscriber, delegate and marketing services revenues;
Spearhead business development efforts: In this capacity, the objective is to drive sales, generate demand and maximize growth for the Brand’s capabilities by growing revenues; promote and sell your brand’s capabilities to asset managers, banks, insurers and vendors globally; another aspect is to develop a high level of domain knowledge in order to have meaningful conversations with clients and prospects;
Diversify and scale capabilities by driving innovation: collaborate with Editorial, Events, Regional and Product directors to deliver content that appeals to our target audience while maintaining the highest standards and to develop products that accelerate growth; identify investments in data and technology to create differentiated solutions for clients and internal capabilities where appropriate; identify potential integration and synergy opportunities with Infopro Digital’s related brands; and, establish metrics and KPIs to drive and maintain efficiencies within the Brand P&L;
Provide leadership for the team: Provide hands-on, day-to-day management for your direct and extended team including hiring, mentoring and retention; collaborate with Editorial, Events, Regional and Product teams supporting your brand;
Support the agenda at the Leadership Team level: As part of the leadership team for Infopro Digital’s Insight business, you will participate in the strategy formulation process and provide insight as well as, if need be, hands-on leadership to the broader organization;
Support the agenda at the FinTech Management Team level: As a key member of the FinTech management team, you will participate in the strategy formulation and execution process for the FinTech segment overall.
Structure and Size of Team
You will report to Risk Global’s Managing Director, FinTech and manage a global team of direct and indirect resources. Employees supporting this brand are based in Hong Kong, London and New York.
Requirements
Natural leadership skills, including the ability to influence and motivate direct and indirect team members at all levels
Deep domain expertise combined with an understanding of B2B information services models, including lead-generation, digital advertising, subscriptions, events (incl. conferences, awards, training, trade-shows), research and data
Proven commercial experience and strategic mind-set (strong business / commercial acumen as well as analytical capabilities)
Ability to engage with clients, colleagues and multiple stakeholders, forming effective relationships;
Can represent the brand and business externally, outward-facing role, with high levels of client and customer interaction, recognised as a figurehead within the Insurance community
Track record for building and leading high-performance teams, including building a strong sales culture
Able to identify growth areas in the short and long term as well as launch new products – demonstrate a track record in creating value
A ‘rounded’ and highly-collaborative senior leader, with experience in a similar position, that leads by example and is willing to be hands on as appropriate
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and within a global matrix organisation: build strong relationships across teams, experience in leading teams, and working collaboratively to achieve objectives
Proactive, curious, excellent communicator, problem-solver, high-energy, decisive, solutions-driven, results-oriented
M&A experience desirable but not essential
