We are currently seeking compassionate and experienced Travel Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with expertise in geriatrics to join our dynamic team. As a Travel LPN specializing in geriatrics at NCG Associates, you will have the exciting opportunity to travel to different locations and provide exceptional care to elderly patients.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to geriatric patients in various healthcare settings
Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
Monitor patients' conditions closely and promptly report any changes to the registered nurse or physician
Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans
Accurately document patient information and maintain organized medical records
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive and personalized care
Provide emotional support and companionship to elderly patients
Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients
Follow infection control protocols and adhere to safety guidelines
Requirements
Active and unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice
Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in geriatric nursing
Strong knowledge of geriatric nursing principles and best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards elderly patients
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Ability to adapt and thrive in new environments
Flexibility to travel and work in different locations
Physical stamina and ability to lift and transfer patients
Availability to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
Benefits
Location: Burlington, VT
Pay Rate: $1,425 -1,575 Weekly depending on your experience
Class/Area: LPN / Geri
Desired Start Date: ASAP
Length of Assignment: 8 weeks
Hours per Week: 37.5
Shift and Time: Flexible
Schedule Details: Full Time
Weekend Rotation: every other
On-call Requirements: none
Holidays Requirements: as scheduled
Floating Requirements: must float to similar units
Experience Required: 1 year in last 18 months
Experience Preferred: PCC charting
License Required: VT State license
Certificates Required: BLS
