Tour Leader for Bike Excursions
As a Bike Guide you accompany cycling groups, instruct on biking techniques, drive the mini-van and give information on history, flora, fauna and customs of Crete. You help with the service and maintenance of bikes. Advanced biking skills are required but not competition standard. Social skills and customer orientated attitude are a priority.
Our company:
We are a family business based in Crete/Greece. For the past 24 years we have specialized on soft tourism. Until the end of October we offer guided bike tours in small groups with max. 15 persons. Additionally, we rent quality mountain bikes and road racing bikes.
Your working environment:
Generally: West Crete does not mean mass tourism as yet but smaller hotels and family pensions. As soon as you leave the busy coastal road you'll find unspoiled nature and overwhelming Cretan hospitality.
Our guests: 70 % Scandinavians (mostly families), 10 % British, 10 % German-speakers and 10 % of diverse nations.
Climate: beginning of April to end of October 22 - 30 degrees, during July and August rarely up to 38º, water 20 -27º, until May and from the middle of September some showers possible.

Your salary: € 1.200 + € 300 accommodation support
Our expectations:
age 22 – 40 years
to show a passion for biking
love of MTB and Road Racing
friendly and customer-orientated
organized working style
responsible personality
experience in tourism or group dynamics
interest in other cultures
driving license B (+ € 200 if you have driving license D as well)
good working knowledge of English
Scandinavian languages useful but not conditional
experience of bike service and bike mechanics
only candidates with EU-passport or US/Canadian passport
