Tail End Specialist | Barcelona | Full Time – Flexible Working | €14 - €22 per hour depending on experience 

Are you an accomplished Marine Engineer with a strong level of experience in tail-end systems on large maritime vessels?

As an individual you’ll possess a strong hydraulic and mechanical engineering background. You’ll have a strong knowledge of tail-end and propulsion parts removal and replacement with a keen eye for understanding problems and issues.

This role isn't just about understanding hydraulic and marine engineering—it's about getting your hands dirty (quite literally) as you dive into the intricate machinery that powers the vessels. From tightening bolts to fine-tuning components, your expertise will be instrumental in keeping our client’s systems running like clockwork.

Are you the right person for the job?

Possess a deep understanding of marine systems, with a focus on Tail End and marine mechanic equipment/propulsion systems and removal and replacement operations
Demonstrate proficiency in hands-on maintenance and repair work within the marine industry
Must be physically fit and capable of carrying out manual tasks, including lifting, moving, and handling of equipment and supplies as required for the role
Able to read complex drawings
Experience of completing all the required quality documentation
A proven record in Mechanical Fitting covering maintenance/assembly & work on bearings, various propulsion and tail end systems (shaft lines, rudders winches etc)

Ability to analyse complex systems and troubleshoot technical issues effectively
Collaborative spirit with excellent communication skills, able to work seamlessly within a team environment
Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ready to tackle new challenges with enthusiasm

What will your role look like?

Undertake the servicing and maintenance of tail-end systems including but not limited to; propeller and shaft removal and replacement, rudder/keel removal and repair, thruster repairs and servicing
Assist the Ops Manager with the development and producing of time quotes and estimates
Secure on-site support for major part removal and safe storage
Work with major suppliers on parts repair, reprofiling and sourcing
Carry out checks in line with planned and unplanned maintenance needs
Provision of reports to be submitted for class and/or flag requirement
