Control Systems Engineer
Location: Northamptonshire
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum
KAP Technical is excited to offer an opportunity for a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our client’s team.
Our client specialises in projects within the manufacturing, sectors.
Role Responsibilities:
As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Software Development:
* Develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA software to meet project requirements.
* Write detailed functional design specifications.
* Create associated documentation for software and hardware solutions.
2. Customer Interaction:
* Communicate with customers to understand their requirements.
* Provide engineering proposals, including cost estimates.
3. Project Management:
* Adhere to project budgets and deadlines.
* Deliver projects with control software and process safety systems engineering design.
4. Systems Design and Commissioning:
* Carry out full control systems design.
* Perform site commissioning.
* Provide post-installation support.
5. Qualifications and Skills:
* Minimum 3 years of experience in PLC, HMI, and SCADA software development.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Familiarity with industrial networks (e.g., Profibus, Profinet).
* Experience with Siemens PLC preferred (training provided).
6. Additional Considerations:
* Willingness to occasionally work away from home and on weekends.
* Ability to understand electrical drawings.
* Background in engineering environments.
