Morgan McKinley is partnering with a prominent player in the UK retail sector to recruit a Financial Reporting Manager for a newly created role. This role centres on leading financial reporting activities, managing accounting operations, and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all financial reports. You will oversee a team of 2 part-qualified accountants, lead the month-end reporting process, and contribute to both internal and external financial statements in compliance with IFRS and UK accounting standards. The Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for the detailed execution and oversight of technical financial accounting tasks, including provisions for liabilities, revenue recognition, and lease accounting. You will analyse performance variances across the P&L and balance sheet, providing insights that influence strategic decisions. Your work will support the annual audit process and ensure adherence to stringent financial controls and processes as the business grows.

The successful candidate will be highly skilled and dynamic individual with a minimum of 2+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally ACA or CIMA qualified. This role is ideal for someone coming straight from practice, particularly if you have audited retail clients, or for individuals with solid reporting experience within the retail, fashion, FMCG, e-commerce, or similar sectors.
