Field Service Engineer (Medical Devices & Equipment)

This is fantastic opportunity for someone to work with an International company within Medical Devices. A highly respected company with a great range of products, looking for an enthusiastic person to join the Engineering Team, bringing across your existing experience and training to work on life saving kit!

The Role:
* This is a Field Service Engineer role, planned and reactive maintenance, along with installations of new equipment in Private and NHS Hospital settings.
* You will be trained on vital medical equipment, both mobile and integrated systems, and will work in small teams or as an individual.
* The role wis carrying out mostly electronic and IT related tasks, with some AV, electrical and minor mechanical works as well.
* You will be working on new installations, planned and preventative maintenance, along with some breakdown work (no on call).
* Home based, this role is covering mainly the London and Southeast area, you will also venture further across the Southwest, South Wales and East Anglia, with around 1 night away per week (on ave).
* Full initial training will be provided with ongoing career development.

The Ideal Person:
* It is essential that you have good experience of working on equipment that includes electronics and IT, however that experience comes, it's vital!
* You will also need some minor electrical and mechanical experience, another key element of the role.
* Field Service experience is not essential, but you need to be willing to travel as part of your job and be comfortable working solo!
* Someone with a Field Service Engineer background within any relatable sector, with experience in electro-mechanical maintenance etc, could be ideally suited to this role.
* A strong understanding of IT networking of equipment is highly advantageous to any application, but not essential as training will be provided.
* It is vital that you've got a good attitude and some "customer facing" experience, from any role, as this is an essential part of the role and you will be speaking with all levels of clinical staff.
* Applications must live in a reasonable commuting distance of the Bracknell / Reading area, or be willing to relocate (no relocation package available)
* Full Driving Licence is vital!
* Right to work in the UK is essential – no sponsorship available (sorry).
