Our client is a specialist procurement company working in the petrochemical, oil and gas and energy sectors across the UK. Due to a strong pipeline of projects they now require a Senior Buyer to work from their County Durham base.
The Role
The procurement of capital equipment and bulk materials for Mechanical, Electrical and C&I requirements.
Sourcing major subcontract or works contract packages such as civil works, Mechanical & Electrical Installation etc.
The Person
Must be experienced in procurement for Capital Projects in relevant sectors
CIPS is desirable but not essential.
3-5 years project experience.
Good understanding of major project procurement strategy and best practice procurement process.
Experience in negotiating T&C’s with NEC4, ICHEMe etc
The preference is for a permanent employee although 6 month+ contracts outside IR35 will be considered
