Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30-3:30

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced individual to join a lovely team as a General Support for their nursery class at a primary school in Cardiff.

The nursery class has 23 pupils in the morning and 28 pupils in the afternoon, with some pupils requiring 1:1 support for suspected learning difficulties. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support the educational and emotional needs of all pupils.

This role is to start as soon as vetting has been completed and will be full-time until the end of the academic year. The pay rate for this position is £12.90 per hour.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the class teacher in delivering the curriculum
Providing 1:1 support to pupils with learning difficulties
Assisting with classroom management
Supervising and engaging with pupils during break times
Liaising with parents and outside agencies when necessary
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a nursery or school setting, a positive attitude, and a willingness to support children with diverse needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
