They are seeking an experienced Senior Project engineer who has a strong back of Principal Engineer - Interior Controls on a Permanent basis. The role will be based in Leamington Spa

Job Description

As Principal Engineer - Interior Controls your main responsibilities are:

Lead a team of Project Engineers to successfully deliver all Interior Electronics / Switch Controls for various product line within the business
Technical ownership of Interior Electronics / Switch Controls through Engineering, development, integration and validation of various electrical modules (ECUs, Sensors and Actuators etc.) into the overall vehicle electrical architecture in collaboration with Functional Departments, technical partners and Tier 1 suppliers.
Own Commodity attributes such as Quality, Costs, Timing, Homologation, Weight and ensure they are within business targets.
Own Engineering Sign-off of the electrical components through the development process of DFMEA, DFA, DFM, DVP&R, Test & Validation, EMC, FuSa, Cyber Security
Work closely with other departments such as Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Programs, Logistics, Service and workshopsQualifications / Skills required

Minimum 10 years of experience in automotive Interior Electronics / Switch Packs development
Excellent understanding Automotive New Product Development Process, Milestones and deliverables for each phases
Demonstrable experience of electrical component's development and manufacture for multiple projects
Working knowledge of CAN, FlexRay, automotive ethernet, LIN networks and vehicle diagnostics.
Working knowledge of relevant homologation standards, ISO26262 and EuroNCAPWhy work through Contechs?
