Structural Engineer

Job Type: Full-time
Hybrid remote in Columbia, MD
Duties:
Design and analyze structures using CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Develop and review structural plans, specifications, and calculations
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure structural integrity and compliance with building codes
Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and provide recommendations for repairs or modifications
Prepare construction documents, including drawings and reports
Oversee construction projects to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards
Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and drafters
Make recommendations for materials to use and safety measures to take
Oversee project management, like tracking budgets and maintaining a database of projects and their progress
Other duties as required
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Professional Engineer (PE) license
5+ years experience in Structural Engineering
Proficient in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit and Civil 3D
Strong knowledge of structural design principles and building codes
Experience with system design and project engineering
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
