Job Description:
The Credit Controller is responsible for managing and coordinating the debts of existing creditors and deciding whether to allow credit to a debtor ultimately managing all money borrowed or owed to the business.
Responsibilities:
Debt Management: Oversee customer billing and cash receipts processing. Implement effective recovery strategies and manage the collection process.
Credit Assessment: Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential customers, set credit ceilings, and manage credit scoring and credit checking.
Reporting: Prepare reports detailing the credit status of customers. Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts.
Customer Service: Handle disputes, negotiate with customers, and resolve any issues that arise.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and the companys credit policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Credit Controller or similar role.
Strong understanding of lending procedures and laws.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to create and process financial spreadsheets.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
