Position Purpose:
The Wastewater Operations & Maintenance Technician I provides day-to-day monitoring at the wastewater treatment plant and (13) pump stations.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Operates equipment manually and through instrument panels, computer terminals and programmable logic control units associated with wastewater facilities.
Works safely in a team-oriented environment.
Performs daily rounds, pump station checks and solids handling duties as necessary.
Carries on-call cell phone every 6 weeks and is responsible for off hours emergency alarms.
Performs other duties as assigned.
