Role: Mechanical Fitter

Base Salary: £27000 - £30000K PA, company EV scheme, Overtime available OTE 45k PA
Hours: 39 Hours PW (Permanent)
Location: Nottingham
Our client is has grown exponentially over the last 18 month making Automation systems for some of the biggest names in logistics and material handling and as such need a Qualified or Experienced Mechanical Fitter who ideally be based 30 - 45 miles from North Nottingham.
The mechanical fitter duties include working from drawings, and assembling new conveyors, material handling systems, chutes including motors, gearboxes, bearing, couplings, rollers etc.
The successful Mechanical Fitter will be required to assemble conveyor systems and sub-assemblies and should have experience using pillar drills, saws, punches, and hand tools. Any welding experience would be advantageous but not essential.
The ideal Mechanical fitter will be a time served assembly technician/fitter who has experience of conveyors / material handling equipment assembly.
Key Objectives of the Mechanical Fitter
* Forklift trained within the last 3 years
* Experience (some or all) of Conveyors, Automation systems, Robotics, Special purpose machinery (including platforms and walkways)
* Some Electrical knowledge
* Welding experience (advantageous)
