Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Environmental Officer to join a Private Housing Associations Asset Services Department on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week.

This role is regional. Therefore, the successful candidate will be required to travel across a large geographical area such as Derby, Stoke, Nottingham, Leicester, Birmingham, Cambridge, Essex and London. Mileage and hotel expenses are payable.

Key Duties:

* Provide an effective Environmental Services offer for assigned regional neighbourhoods,

* including the provision of professional advice, expertise and technical support for the full range

* of environmental services.

* Successfully manage the Group’s green spaces, working closely with the regions Asset

* Services team to ensure consistency of service between internal and externally delivered

* grounds maintenance services.

* Contribute to the development of regional plans and contribute towards the successful delivery

* of individual neighbourhood plans.

* Assist in the development and delivery of regional ‘Place Bids’ offering technical support and

* advice during the application process.

* Provide contract management support to the Group’s external grounds maintenance providers,

* acting as the lead for monitoring service delivery, performance management and customer

* satisfaction.

* Hold regular performance management meetings with external grounds maintenance

* providers, ensuring contractors are effectively fulfilling their contractual requirements, and

* challenging under performance as required.

* Act as a point of contact for regional environmental services, working closely with Group

* stakeholders and other external organisations to ensure the effective management of green

* spaces in accordance with industry standards, identifying opportunities to improve biodiversity

* wherever possible.

* Utilise project management methodologies to ensure regional priorities are effectively planned,

* costed and delivered in a timely manner and in line with wider Group priorities.

* Prepare and monitor the annual budgets for income and expenditure, in line with Group

* financial protocols, determining service priorities and quality control for services received.

Requirements:

* Demonstrable experience within the building / environmental industry.

* Demonstrable experience of successfully providing an environmental services offer, ideally

* within the Housing Sector.

* Full UK Drivers Licence and willingness to travel
