Role: General Manager – Fire and Security

Reports to: Managing Director

Location: Dartford and London

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm – 40 hours per week.

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 with uncapped earning potential

Your Purpose:

As the General Manager Fire & Security, you will have full P&L responsibility for this newly created division.

*

You will be responsible for driving the commerciality of the division including day-to-day operations and forward-looking business development opportunities.

*

Working closely with the Managing Director, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service to our blue-chip commercial and residential client base.

*

Your key objectives include coordinating the divisions works from inception to completion, maintaining schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

*

You will also be representing the division at board meetings.

Act like an owner and put customers first.

What you’re responsible for:

Role Related tasks:

*

Be responsible for a sales target exceeding £3m and a profit target of up to £500k.

*

Leading all Fire & Security projects from initiation to completion, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and service delivery.

*

Developing and nurturing existing client relationships.

*

Growing the business be exploring and exploiting new business opportunities and revenue streams with existing and new clients.

*

Advance the business to a model focussed upon direct client and customer relationships.

*

Increase the division capability to deliver profitable installation projects within the Fire & Security commercial and residential arenas.

Special Requirements

*

SME Fire & Security experience in a fast-paced customer facing business is desirable.

*

Strong commercial focus with experience of having full P&L responsibility.

*

A desire to develop a business and explore and deliver new business.

*

A strong knowledge of the technical aspects of the Fire & Security industry is desirable.

*

Solid line management experience of managing both field and office-based staff.

*

Experience of working with a blue-chip client base.

*

Knowledge of the commercial and residential Fire & Security sectors.

*

A yearning to integrate this new division into the Masterfix portfolio.

*

Drive and enthusiasm that matches the invested/investor-based nature of the Masterfix business model.

*

Personal growth potential and a hunger to learn from other divisions across the Masterfix group.

*

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for clear and effective communication with stakeholders, team members, and clients.

*

Strong IT skills including excellent Microsoft packages (especially Excel), database management and client portals (training will be provided)
