Job & Company Summary

Mobile mechanical maintenance Engineer / manager required for an M&E company covering London and M23 corridor. The company has a growing and ambitious mechanical division, seeking to add a capable and experienced Mobile mechanical maintenance Engineer / manager.

Flexible and able to travel in and around London and the home counties, with occasional travel and overnight stays in other locations (within the UK) and periodic attendance at Southwick head office in Brighton, Sussex.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Full involvement in new projects, from the early stages (where required) working with the estimators to achieve a successful pre-construction handover.

* The ability to take over existing projects, build onsite client communication lines and re-organise if necessary.

* Full familiarisation with each project under your control, with early feedback to the business should any issues arise.

* Able to read drawings, scope and specification documents and communicate information and change effectively and efficiently to the site team.

* Able to read programmes, identifying critical paths and key dates as well as production of SRP’s for client inclusion.

* Enforce H+S Company policies, daily safe starts, and regular applicable toolbox talks.

* Evaluate and safely manage plant and storage requirements.

* Ensure that all record keeping registers are regularly updated and correct.

* Assess all relevant technical issues, communicating them through the correct channels/documentation.

* Attend all relevant client / builder project meetings within agreed prelim allowances.

* Manage the ordering/release of materials and procurement items in time for programmed installation.

* Attend and prepare for monthly milestones and budget meetings with the Mechanical Operations Manager.

Person Specification / Qualifications

* Mechanical background

* Flexible and able to travel in and around London and the home counties, with occasional travel and overnight stays in other locations (within the UK) and periodic attendance at Southwick head office in Brighton, Sussex.

* Minimum 5 years Project management experience, preferably multiple and concurrent sites.

* Proficient, proven, and able to successfully manage and deliver projects from 10k to 3m.

* Highly organised.

* Good communicator and client facing.

* Able to work to company and project procedures and protocols

* Can efficiently manage works to programme and budgets.

* A flexible attitude with the ability to efficiently prioritise workload and deal with change.

* Excellent team and client communication skills.

Must have:

* Relevant CSCS card.

* Driving licence.

* Relevant management qualifications.
