Supporting adults with learning disabilities in a supported living service. Supporting with personal care, daily living skills, activities and medication. 30hrs per week on a rota basis, shift patterns are 07.30-15.00 and 15.00-22.00 or alternatively you can work 07.30-22.00.
We are looking for candidates who have the following skills and attributes:
*Hard working

*Enjoy working with people with learning disabilities
*Understand the importance of accurate paperwork
*Enthusiastic, kind, honest, trustworthy
*Ability to work in pairs or work on their own
*Good knowledge of how to support vulnerable clients with care needs
*Able to support people to live active, fulfilling lives, ensuring people have fun but also that they complete their everyday household tasks.
*Able to chat to people who communicate without speech
*Able to support people when they are sad or upset
*Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, other professionals, families and the public
*Enthusiastic, kind, friendly & honest
You may be working alone as well as part of a team, so will need to be able to use your initiative whilst following guidelines & routines – liking a challenge is essential. There will be lots of variety, so your work will not be the same every day!
