Position: Town Planner Location: South West England Type: Full-time
About Us: My client is looking for a talented Town Planner in the South West to join their expanding team! Their projects range from residential developments and commercial centres to public spaces and environmental initiatives. They work closely with local authorities, developers, and private clients meaning you will get a real varied workload.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and environmental impact analyses.
* Prepare and submit detailed planning applications and reports.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, including local authorities, developers, and community organizations.
* Ensure all projects comply with planning regulations and policies.
* Participate in public consultations and community engagement activities.
* Provide expert advice on land use, zoning, and sustainable development practices.
Requirements:
* Degree in Urban Planning, Town Planning or a related field.
* Professional membership with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and eligibility for chartership.
* Proven experience in planning, preferably within the South West.
* Strong understanding of UK planning laws and regional policies.
* Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
